Please introduce yourself
We are two sisters, Claudie and Stéphanie Grisius, with a passion for fashion, who created the vol(t)age brand in 2011. The adventure began with the creation of our elegant and luxurious silk and velvet scarves, the ‘v-necks’, which all have a name like the famous ‘coquette avertie’.
Our customers loved the names on our v-necks scarves so much that they asked us to print them on t-shirts. So our famous ‘smart-shirts’, our t-shirts and sweatshirts with slogans, were born as a sort of by-product of our scarves. Their playful, inspiring wordplay and quality have made them a bestseller for the vol(t)age brand over the years.
A capsule ready-to-wear collection including silk and lace skirts, silk dresses and blouses as well as bouclé jackets and coats has expanded the range.
vol(t)age is a brand that combines elegance, luxury, humour and comfort. vol(t)age’s signature fabrics include silk, velvet, bouclé, tweed, lace and cotton. These beautiful materials are processed in our production workshop in the Gare district at 26, rue Michel Welter.
What’s your philosophy?
Our brand name ‘vol(t)age’ is a play on words between the French word volage (light and changing) and voltage (an electrical force).
As the name suggests, our mission is to create statement pieces that will electrify your outfit, change your look and lift your mood with our inspiring slogans!
Our scarves or ‘v-necks’, hand-sewn in Luxembourg from luxurious fabrics such as silk, velvet, bouclé and tweed, are renowned not only for their electrifying qualities, but also for their ability to accessorise the outfits with elegance and pizzazz.
Our inspirational and playful sweatshirts and slogan t-shirts (our ‘smart-shirts’) are made from an ultra-comfortable blend of cotton and modal combine fashion and comfort to perfection, while guaranteeing you interesting conversations at the same time.
Local production is also important to you
That’s true, because we’re a Luxembourg brand created by two sisters born in Luxembourg, and we produce in Luxembourg City.

Current trends
The current trend is to combine fashion and comfort. This trend is particularly close to our hearts at vol(t)age.
We love the simplicity and sophistication of our brand’s key pieces. Take our v-neck scarves in silk, velvet or bouclé, they’re so easy to wear. Made from luxurious, comfortable materials, they accessorise your outfits with elegance and pizzazz.
Our smart shirts are renowned for being as comfortable as pyjamas, but still very stylish thanks to their fashionable cut. They go just as well with your favourite pair of jeans as they do with a precious lace skirt.
In keeping with the ‘dressy t-shirt’ trend, we’ve launched a new range of ‘couture smart-shirts’.
Our new ‘v-pocket shirt’ is enhanced by a dummy pocket covered with a silk envelope flap hand-stitched in our workshop, concealing a (naughty) side of the woman wearing it.
In the same vein, we’ve created smart-shirts adorned with lace for a sophisticated, feminine yet casual look.
vol(t)age is casual-chic and anything but stuffy.
Your favourite item
I think it’s clear from the previous answers that we all love the vol(t)age flagship pieces for their ability to combine comfort, elegance and electric sophistication.
I currently wear our v-pocket shirts almost every day. I love pairing them with black trousers or skirts. I find that the dummy pocket, embellished with its silk envelope flap, adds a very ‘couture’ touch to a monochrome outfit.
Our new sober yet sophisticated ‘v-pocket shirt’ will particularly appeal to our businesswoman customers who might not dare wear our slogan ‘smart-shirts’ to a more formal meeting.
