Celebrating only couples? Not necessarily!
All singles, divorcees and those who prefer to go through life by themselves are surely dreading Valentine’s Day, the 14th of February, when it is once again time to celebrate love! But this doesn’t have to be the case, because self-love should always come first!
Pure relaxation!
If you want to show your body some love on this special day, just put a well-deserved wellness break on your to-do list. Run yourself a pleasant bubble bath, set up some candles, choose a good book and relax with a glass of crémant. After the bath, apply some moisturizer and slip into your bathrobe. Get cosy on your sofa, with some cushions and blankets, and let the evening fade away with an interesting film.
Food for thought
How can you love yourself if you don’t understand your feelings? Why not start keeping a diary. If you write down your feelings every day and learn to express them, you’ll surely feel better. A colouring book is also a relaxing hobby. Add a warm cup of tea to this and breathe in deeply!
The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach
This one is for the food lovers out there! Singles often have to eat alone, but this does not necessarily mean that they should only order food. Cook for yourself! Do you love exotic dishes? Or rather classic cakes? Have you ever wanted to bake macarons? Do you like to drink fresh smoothies in the morning? What are you waiting for? Cookbooks can be bought almost everywhere and cooking tips and quick recipes can be found on the Internet.
100 % pleasing gifts
Have you ever received a gift that you absolutely do not like? So why not treat yourself to something nice and choose your gift yourself? A tarot card set to try to predict the future? A new nightgown to snuggle up in? A box of chocolates to indulge in? Or how about a new pair of shoes for the new season? An espresso machine for your daily dose of caffeine? Or a side table to brighten up the flat? You don’t need a special day to treat yourself, do you?
