5 tips to make New Year’s Eve a blast

Are you planning a New Year’s Eve party for the turn of the year, but don’t know exactly how to organise it to make it a blast? No problem, because with our tips, the last night of the year will become the perfect party!

The decorations are the be-all and end-all

Have you already decorated for New Year’s Eve? If not, then it’s high time! Silver and gold are the colour palette of choice here to get the New Year off to a classy start. Glitter, sequins and all things shiny are simply part of the decorations. An elegant tablecloth, matching napkins and festive decorations are a must. Then add candlesticks, glass elements and flowers and the table will be perfect.

But the ambience also counts

It’s better to celebrate the New Year with candlelight and music. What do you prefer? Radio, CDs or records? The music can be a little quieter during the meal, but when the countdown begins and the clock strikes 12, it’s time to turn up the dance music and celebrate.

Putting together the perfect menu

Of course, the food and drinks are also an important factor for a successful party. Finger food and crémant can be served as an aperitif. The classic raclette or fondue are ideal for the main course. If you prefer something more sociable, simpler and more child-friendly, you can also offer pizza to make yourself. The meal ends with a sweet dessert. But make sure that there is enough crémant cold so that you can toast at midnight.

A fun programme

If you want to make the evening fun after dinner, you can offer various games, for example. The programme includes board games, card games, karaoke, joke challenges as well as guessing games. Or simply review the past year and talk about your highlights.

Small surprises for the new year

Small surprises for the guests are a great way to celebrate the New Year. Get a small gift such as a calendar, chocolate or a lucky charm and give it away at midnight.

We wish you a wonderful New Year’s Eve celebration!
