Women’s Day 2026: Entrepreneurs on Letzshop

EN

International Women’s Day is more than a symbolic date on the calendar. It is an opportunity to make visible the women who create, lead, develop and boldly follow their own paths.

International Women’s Day: Four entrepreneurs, three journeys – and one shared vision

On Letzshop.lu, many of these entrepreneurs stand behind their brands, businesses and ideas every day. Three of them share what motivated them to build their own company – and the role that courage, strategy and perseverance play.

Anne Faber – When Creativity Becomes a Brand

Anne Faber is well known as a TV chef and author. Her journey into entrepreneurship was not a single defining moment, but a natural progression.

“Starting my own business wasn’t a sudden decision but a gradual progression.”

What began with journalism and television formats evolved into a strong brand: cookbooks, own products, media presence – everything interconnected.

E-commerce became a strategic building block. Instead of building her own infrastructure from scratch, Anne uses Letzshop.lu as a complementary platform:

“Letzshop.lu offered the perfect solution for me.”

She is particularly proud of the sustainability of her success – not something to be taken for granted in a fast-moving media world.

But the most meaningful moments remain personal:

“When someone tells me they’ve made one of my recipes for their family — that’s incredibly meaningful.”

On International Women’s Day, she speaks about both recognition and responsibility:

“Visibility and credibility are things you have to build consistently.”

Her message to aspiring entrepreneurs is clear and structured:

“Passion alone is not enough. Structure, financial planning and discipline are what make a business sustainable.”

Alia – Creativity, Authenticity and Courage

For Alia, everything began with art. Creativity has always been at the center of her life – and eventually became the foundation of her brand ANASA Collection.

“I have always been an artist first.”

She started with handmade soy wax candles because she was looking for products that were both aesthetic and aligned with her values. Today, her brand stands for design, atmosphere and craftsmanship – Made in Luxembourg.

E-commerce is a key growth driver for her: “E-commerce is very important because it allows me to share my work beyond physical markets.”

Letzshop.lu creates additional visibility and trust – especially among new customers who consciously want to shop locally.

On International Women’s Day, she speaks about courage: “International Women’s Day represents courage — the courage to trust your own vision.”

Her message is both encouraging and realistic: “Start before you feel ready. You build confidence by doing.”

Laura Ferber – Rethinking Tradition, Shaping the Future

Laura Ferber was born into the family business – a company that has existed for four generations. But for her, it was not just about continuing the legacy, but about developing it further.

“Meng Motivatioun war et awer net nëmmen dat weiderzeféieren, mee et och weider z’entwéckelen: nei Konzepter, Digitaliséierung, Online-Shop, modern Services an eng super Clientserfarung.”

Today, the company represents the combination of tradition and innovation: 14 salons, its own Hair’cademy, multiple online sales channels and a clear vision for the future.

E-commerce is not an addition, but essential: “Den E-Commerce ass haut en essentiellen Deel vun eisem Geschäft.”

Letzshop.lu complements their own online shop while strengthening national visibility. For Laura, locality and digitalization do not contradict each other – they complement one another.

On International Women’s Day, she emphasizes one key point: “Et ass wichteg, d’Leeschtung vun de Fraen am Beruff an am Alldag sichtbar ze maachen.”

Her message to other women is clear and direct: “Traut Iech. Et gëtt ni de perfekte Moment, fir unzefänken.”

Denise – 35 Years of Passion for Flowers

For 35 years, Denise has been running her shop in Echternach – with experience, consistency and a fine sense for her customers. For her, flowers are more than decoration. They are a sign of attention, appreciation and emotion.

On International Women’s Day, one message is particularly important to her:

“Fir mech ass de Weltfraendag en Dag, wou Frae fir dat wat si all Dag leeschten an schaffen, geschätzt solle ginn. Ech géif mir wënschen, datt Männer dësen Dag notzen, fir Fraen einfach emol mat Blummen ze iwwerraschen an hinnen Merci ze soen.”

Even after 35 years of entrepreneurship, her motivation remains strong. Passion, customer closeness and quality are at the center of her work.

Online trade has become an important part of her business:

“Den E-Commerce ass ganz wichteg fir eis, well d’Leit net ëmmer d’Zäit hunn an de Buttek ze kommen. Iwwer Letzshop kënnen si ganz einfach bestellen an sech frësch Blummen heem liwwere loossen.”

Tradition and modern sales channels do not exclude each other they complement each other.

Unternehmerinnen sichtbar machen

Whether family business, media brand or creative manufactory – the paths are different. But they share common values:

  • Taking the leap
  • Perseverance
  • Strategic thinking
  • Digital openness
  • and the determination to bring their vision to life

International Women’s Day reminds us that entrepreneurship has many faces – and that every story matters.

On Letzshop.lu, these entrepreneurs are not only visible, but part of a community that strengthens the local economy and embraces diversity.

Today we celebrate women who shape.
And tomorrow we support them – by shopping local.
