Social Media Marketing? How, where, what!
It is hard to imagine everyday life without social media. If you want to sell your goods successfully online, you should definitely get to grips with this topic. But how exactly should you go about it? Letzshop explains briefly and succinctly how you can use the social media without much effort.
A little tip in advance. Letzshop is of course also represented on the social media. Take a look at our Facebook and Instagram pages for a little inspiration. We always try to bring as much variety as possible into our posts so that we can entertain our existing customer base but also attract new followers. You are also welcome to follow and like to keep up to date.
Increase reach
Social media, such as Facebook and Instagram, offers a wide reach and is an important tool to expand your customer base and keep existing customers up to date. Engage with your new and existing customers by regularly posting news, photos or information about your business as well as your merchandise. To further increase your reach, you can also work with influencers to showcase and promote your products. Letzshop, of course, also tries to follow this tip as much as possible, featuring local traders on the different channels week after week, be it in blog, video or photo form.
Promote customer loyalty
An engaged community – customers who follow you on social medias – are customers who actively interact with your brand and are naturally loyal. And loyal customers should be exactly your goal. The social medias allows you to build a personal relationship with your customers by responding to their comments, requests and complaints. By having a direct dialogue with your customers, they feel valued and are more likely to buy your products again and recommend your brand to others. Comments – both positive and negative – are important. If a customer is dissatisfied, it is up to you to find out exactly what the problem is and maybe even solve it so that the dissatisfied customer becomes a satisfied customer. This is of course also true for Letzshop. We try to answer customers’ queries as promptly as possible on a daily basis, just as you as a retailer should do.
Share content and storytelling
Social media provides the ideal platform to tell your story and make emotional connections with your customers. Use different types of content such as images, videos, texts and customer reviews to showcase your offer and highlight the benefits of your products. Tell your origin story, post photos of your daily life in the shop, showcase your favourite items…. all of this will appeal to customers and entice them to make a purchase. Since personal contact is not possible with an online shop, the customer gets an idea of the retailer and his shop. Putting the retailer in the focus is also one of our tasks. That’s why we visit a local trader every week and then present him on the social media together with his shop and products.
Competitions and promotions
Competitions and promotions on your social media channels are also a good marketing strategy. By raffling off products or offering exclusive discounts, you can increase the interaction of your community – your customers – and gain new followers. Those who don’t yet know your online shop may become aware of it and you will gain new customers. Make sure that the conditions of participation are clear and simple to ensure that the competition runs smoothly. Then, after a few days, select a winner to collect their gift from your shop and you’ve got yourself a new customer! We also follow this advice and thus publish a raffle on Facebook twice a month in order to give our followers a gift, of course, and at the same time to bring the retailer who provides us with the item into the spotlight.
Analysis and evaluation
Measuring the success of your social media activities is crucial to evaluate the effectiveness of your posts. Use the platforms’ analytics tools to monitor reach and clicks. The insights gained will help you optimise your social media marketing strategy and better adapt future posts. Of course, this is also on the agenda at Letzshop. You learn from mistakes and experiences, and that’s exactly what will help you too.
